Sheffield’s most popular tennis centre will play host to the sports stars of the future this summer.
Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova all began their careers competing in the prestigious Tennis Europe competition, which is taking place at Graves Tennis and Leisure Centre.
The U14 Tennis Europe competition will run from August 4-8, bringing some of Europe’s finest young tennis talent to the city.
Mark Hamilton, tennis manager at Graves, in Norton, said: “We are thrilled to be hosting Tennis Europe, this is a competition steeped in history and a major event on the tennis calendar, the standard of tennis should be exceptional.”
The event is part of a programme of key competitions at Graves this summer including, from June 30 to July 5, the AEGON British Tour for breakthrough professionals and top British amateurs.
