Titans' double trouble after shock loss

Rotherham Titans, who surprisingly lost their first home match of the new National One season yesterday afternoon to Nottingham by 19-5, face two new problems.

South African star, back Errie Claassens, can't play because he hasn't got the right Home Office visa.

The club and the player have altered his application so that it meets new Home Office criteria, but the Titans can't say when Claassens will be available for his first league game.

Meanwhile, winger Geoff Griffiths, of whom much is expected, is having an X-ray today in Sheffield on his injured foot, which has prevented him, appearing in the first two league games.

It has also emerged from Clifton Lane that New Zealand forward, Cameron O'Connor, who has played for Wellington B, but has still to arrive in the UK, won't be available for selection for another three weeks or so.
