IT’S the end of the road for James Toseland. A wrist injury the 31-year-old suffered in a crash in Spain almost six months ago has forced the Doncaster-born racer to retire with immediate effect.

Toseland, brought up in Kiveton Park, Rotherham, twice won the world title.

He said: “I have to put the safety of the other riders on track first.”
