Jonny Marray and doubles partner Dom Inglot were swiftly dealt with in the second round of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome yesterday.

The British duo were knocked out by the vastly experienced sixth seeded Indian pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna in straight sets 6-2 6-3 in just over 50 minutes of action at the Foro Italico.

Marray and Inglot earned 90 ranking points and split prize money of 10,120 Euros.

The Sheffield-based Marray is expected to team up with regular partner Colin Fleming at next week’s Power House Cup in Düsseldorf.
