JONNY Marray and doubles partner Colin Fleming will take on French pairing Florent Serra and Gilles Simon in the quarter-finals of the Open Sud de France today.

Sheffield’s Marray and Scotland’s Fleming are ranked as No 1 seeds for the tournament and booked their place in the last eight on Monday with a straight sets victory over France’s Gael Monfils and Josselin Ouanna.

Serra and Simon had to wait until yesterday for their first round match. When they eventually took to the court in Montpellier they beat American James Cerretani and Canadian Adil Shamasdin 7-6(2) 7-6(7).

It will be a busy day for Simon. The world No 14 in singles will be taking on Spain’s Arnau Brugues-Davi in the last 16 of the individual tournament.
