Four gold medals for Gill, aged 9

DARTES’ swimmers struck gold in the Bradford End of Season meeting at Shipley.

Collectively the Doncaster swimmers, aged between nine and 20, bagged an amazing 71 gold medals between them, in addition to the numerous silver and bronze medals they also won over the weekend.

Special mention must go to Dartes’ youngest swimmer, nine-year-old Gill Clarke, who won golds in the 50m breast, 200m free, 50m back and 200m back.

One of the club’s oldest swimmers, Emma Humphreys, also had a successful meeting bringing home golds in the 100m free, 100m back, 100m breast and the 50m free.

George Scatchard produced another splendid set of swims with golds in the 200m breast, 200m IM, 200m back, 100m back and the 100m breast.

Sisters Holly and Laura Brookes won eight golds between them.
