SHANE Parker says Sheffield are just off target in the race for the Premier League title but insists there is time to catch up.
The popular Australian is determined to end his career with some silverware as he retires from the sport at the end of the season and returns home to Australia.
And with points dropped on the road unexpectedly, especially recently at Redcar and Scunthorpe, Parker insists it won’t take much for Tigers to get back on track.
He said: “There is a long way to go in the race for the title and although we’ve dropped some silly points here and we still have a chance.
“I think the title race is wide open with Workington and Glasgow looking good and they both have meetings in hand on us. Basically we cannot afford any more mistakes.”
Tigers host 11th placed Newcastle at Owlerton tonight before a trip to Edinburgh tomorrow.
