SHEFFIELD will combat a team of Owlerton ‘experts’ when they face Workington in their opening Premier League meeting tonight (7.45pm).
“Workington have a team full of riders who have previously shown good form at Owlerton and I’m sure they’ll continue that,” said Tigers boss Neil Machin.
But Machin is desperate to see his side, who topped the League Cup group last week, launch their league programme with maximum points.
He said: “All 13 Premier League teams will be focused on a top six finish to qualify for the Premier League Championship play offs, so our objective, as always, is to win by seven points or more and record our first three league points.
“It’s so important to get off to a good start.”
Tigers will be unchanged.
