Sheffield will look to head into the play-offs on a high as they take a new-look team to Scunthorpe to wrap up their regular season programme today (3pm).
The injury-hit Tigers have rung the changes as they prepare to battle for their first Premier League title since 2002.
Fans’ favourite Andre Compton returns to the side with new signing Robin Aspegren set to make his debut against the Scorpions as they aim to extend their winning run to six successive meetings.
The Owlerton outfit have been in impressive form in recent weeks, completing a quickfire double over Redcar with a hard-fought away win on Friday.
Team manager Jack Lee hopes their team adjustments will pay dividends and ensure they emerge with another away win over their local rivals to maintain their confidence heading into the play-offs.
Lee said: “We had two great wins against Redcar, all the boys worked hard and pulled together to get us over the line home and away which was brilliant.
“We’ve guaranteed our play-off place now which is great, but we still want to win at Scunthorpe on Monday to make sure we keep our confidence up.
“Every meeting is going to be vital in the play-offs and we can’t afford to have any bad nights, so we want to go there in the best shape we can.
“Hopefully the changes we’ve made will work out and we can perform well at Scunthorpe. The way Jason (Garrity) has been riding there’s no reason why he can’t do a job at No.1, and hopefully Andre can come back from his injury and hit the ground running.
“It’s great to have a full team again, and we hope we can get off to a good start with the new line-up by winning at Scunthorpe to keep our good form going.”
