Sheffield Tigers earned their fifth successive win in dramatic fashion as they snatched a last-gasp 47-43 away win over Redcar.

Just 24 hours after storming to a 50-40 victory when the sides met at Owlerton, the Tigers came on strong on the closing stages to complete a quickfire double over the Bears.

Having trailed for the majority of the meeting, Jack Lee's determined side struck 5-1s in heats 13 and 14 to ensure they maintained their flying form with the play-offs on the horizon.

Jason Garrity brilliantly blasted from last to second to join unstoppable guest Richard Lawson at the front in heat 13 before a similarly spectacular ride from Danish ace Nicolai Klindt saw him pick off both Redcar riders to strike a pivotal maximum alongside young reserve Josh Bates in the penultimate race.

After a remarkable turnaround, Lawson and Garrity filled in the minor placings behind ex-Tiger Ricky Wells in a tense last-heat decider to wrap up a memorable away win.

Lawson put in a stunning performance as he guested at No.1, reeling off four straight victories before narrowly missing out on a maximum in the final race.

All-action racer Garrity was similarly impressive, notching double figures as he prepares to move into the No.1 race jacket next week, whilst Klindt continued his recent good form to add a crucial contribution in the engine room of the side.

Another superb display from influential young reserve Josh Bates ensured they had plenty of lower order strength as he scored in every ride before a timely victory in his final outing.

David Bellego struggled with falls in his last two rides but nonetheless delivered an important win in heat seven as both sides continued to trade blows.

Whilst Paco Castagna and teenage prospect Zach Wajtknecht failed to score, the Tigers nonetheless had enough strength to emerge with a hard-fought triumph and three more Premier League points

They will wrap up their regular Premier League programme with a mouth-watering local derby clash at Scunthorpe on Monday (3pm).

They will line-up with a new-look side with the return of Andre Compton and the addition of Robin Aspegren as they aim to maintain their winning run entering the play-offs.
