SHANE Parker says he’s excited by Sheffield’s prospects this season after four meetings.
Parker has impressed in the early stages following his winter move from Somerset and says the best is yet to come.
And he reckons the balance of the Tigers team is excellent and they could emerge as one of the top teams in the Premier League.
He said: “It’s looking good and I’m excited, we look to have a really good team and I’m pleased to be a part of it.
”It was a shame we couldn’t quite pull off the win at Rye House on Saturday but we got a point out of it and we have to be pleased with that.
“Rye House is a tough place to go but the guys put on a good show and on another day we could have snatched a win from it.
“As it was our first league meeting of the season, and away from home, it was nice to get a consolation point.
“We have a good top end in the team and the guys at reserve look like they can score some good points for us too, so we should be competitive.
“The early signs are very encouraging and that’s been achieved without Emiliano (Sanchez) who is injured.
“I certainly feel we will be a match for anyone in this league and I’m pretty pleased with my own form so far, but there is more to come from me.”
Tigers host Berwick in their first home league meeting of the season on Thursday and they are hoping Sanchez may be able to return to the side.
