RICKY Ashworth reckons April will help shape Sheffield’s season with a hectic schedule ahead.
The Tigers skipper leads his side into action in no less then seven Premier League outings starting on Thursday at home to Newport.
They already have four points under their belt from two meetings but by the end of this month they are sure to have a clear indication about their chances of success. Said Ashworth: “It’s a busy time and that’s the way we like it, it gives us the chance to get plenty of points on the board.
“We’ve made a steady start by getting points from the two meetings so far and we will be looking to add to that against Newport.
“There’s been some teething problems with the new silencers but hopefully things will settle down and we can have a good season.
“It was good to get a result at Rye House, running them close was a solid effort by the lads and it was also nice to be the first visiting team at Leicester at the weekend.
“Everyone seems happy with the way things are going but we all know we can do better and I’m sure we will all improve as the season progresses.”
Thursday sees the Owlerton return of Canadian Kyle Legault who has seen his career stall since he left Sheffield. He was on the verge of breaking through to the Elite League when he broke a thigh two years ago and is rebuilding his career with the Welsh side.
Legault started his British career with Sheffield and remains a club asset.
