SHEFFIELD’S Adam Duffy is just two wins away from making the World Championships at the Crucible Theatre after coming through his latest qualifying match last night.

Duffy, from Eckington, beat Adrian Gunnell 10-8 to set up a tie with Jamie Burnett. In round one of qualifying, the 23-year-old cueman, ranked 66 in the world, beat Lucky Vatnani 10-2.

Sheffield Wednesday supporter Duffy practices eight hours a day at Hustler’s Sports Bar and regularly trains with Nigel Bond, who reached the final of the World Snooker Championship in 1995.
