Teenage potter Joel Walker has been knocked out of the German Masters, losing 5-2 to Jamie Burnett in Berlin yesterday.
The 19-year-old, ranked 86 in the world, could not build on his fine win over Aditya Mehta on Wednesday and bowed out of the tournament at the last 32 stage. Burnett will now play Xiao Guodong in the last 16.
Sheffield youngster Walker qualified for the event after thumping Robert Milkins 5-0 at the Barnsley Metrodome in mid-December. His impressive run earned him £6,500.
Sheffield-based cueman Ding Junhui, meanwhile, remains in the hunt to claim the trophy after defeating former world champion Mark Williams five frames to one.
