Tigers have lost just one of their last seven meetings and currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League table, three points off the top.

Despite it being a more than encouraging start to the campaign, Howarth feels there is still a lot more in the tank.

“We’re more than happy with how things have been going but we know there’s still room for improvement,” said Howarth.

“We’ve had some really good results as a team this year so far but I think there’s still a lot more to come.

“We’ve had to work hard and fight for a lot of our points so far this season and we’ve beaten some really good teams.

“There hasn’t been too many times where we’ve all hit form on the same night though but I don’t think that’s too far away” he added.

“We’ve all had some good meetings individually but soon everyone will click on the same night and we’ll end up winning with a pretty big margin against someone.

“We’re happy with any sort of win though; that’s what it’s all about and making sure you get to the play-offs at the end of the year.

“I’ve had some good meetings points wise and there’s been a few I haven’t been too happy with as well.

“I know I can do even better and between now and the end of the season I’ll carry on giving it everything I’ve got as usual and doing my best for the team.”

Sheffield’s scheduled home meeting against Rye House last night was washed out after torrential downpours across the region.
