Greaves has been inconsistent in the early stages of his Tigers’ career but has been scoring well for King’s Lynn in the National League. He’s enjoyed some better scores of late and heads into the home meeting with Rye House tomorrow in good heart.
He said: “The starts in speedway are so important and if you can make some decent ones you will win races. I felt fast in the past couple of matches which is good as we have found a set-up with the engines that are working. It was good to get a win over Cradley for King’s Lynn on Wednesday and put some points on the board. Our home form is excellent this season as it is with Sheffield in the Premier league.
“If we are to win anything this season we have to keep the home form going. I’m confident I can keep this form going and we can kick on with Sheffield now. I’m confident about scoring some good points at reserve and I’m enjoying riding for Sheffield, even though I’ve had some tough meetings along the way. If I can keep making starts then I know I can contribute some important points along the way.”
Tigers are sweating on the fitness of Jason Garrity after he crashed out of Monday’s British Final at Belle Vue. Garrity landed awkwardly in his fourth ride and took time to get to his feet before pulling out of his final ride.
