SHEFFIELD TIGERS hope to continue their promising early season form this weekend.
Tigers are tucked into fourth place of the National League 2 North table after winning six of seven matches.
They are level with Preston Grasshoppers and Otley, though, so won’t want to slip up tomorrow, against 11th-placed Bromsgrove. Their opponents are in a rut: they suffered their third successive defeat last time out.
Meanwhile, Sheffield are hoping to shrug off last week’s 25-21 home defeat by table topping Wheatley Hills, with a home win over struggling Middlesbrough. Sheffield are two places and seven points behind the Doncaster leaders, who host Old Crossleyans, in North East One.
In Yorkshire Two, third-place Doncaster Phoenix seek to improve their position with a win over Leodiensian, while Sheffield Medicals attempt their fifth win in eight games at Skipton. Rotherham Phoenix host Northallerton in Yorkshire Div three, aiming for a victory which will help them get away from the wrong end of the table. Thornesians entertain Old Rishworthians.
Mosborough have won all but one of their five games in Yorks div four and should get the better of Hornsea. Meanwhile, in division five, unbeaten Stocksbridge host a derby with Sheffield Oaks. ‘Bridge top the table, but second place Doncaster Amateurs have a game in hand.
