Rotherham Titans coach Lee Blackett has made two changes to the side that beat Moseley in the opening Championship fixture last weekend for tomorrow’s first home game against newly promoted Ealing Trailfinders, 3pm at Clifton Lane.

The serious shoulder injury to full back Sean Scanlon, who was hurt against Moseley, will prevent the Irishman from playing for a minimum of three weeks; his place in the number 15 shirt is taken by Michael Keating.

His position on the left wing goes to Curtis Wilson who makes his first appearance of the season.

Blackett has made one other change to the starting lineup which went on to beat the Birmingham side 42-24 a week ago.

In the centre Joel Gill, who was in impressive form when he came on as a replacement against Moseley, is selected ahead of Jack Roberts. “Joel did well and deserves his chance, but it is important to have impact players on the bench which is why Jack is in the match day squad,” explained Blackett.

“Talking of players who make an impact, look at how well Laurence Pearce played when I brought him on in the second half against Moseley.”
