Rotherham, who face Championship leaders Bristol at Clifton Lane tomorrow, have strengthened their squad by capturing second row forward Tom Holmes on loan from Premiership club Sale Sharks.
In two spells at Sale, Holmes has made more than 20 first team appearances and has been signed because of serious injuries to Titans locks Ben Thomas and Barney Maddison, both of whom will not play again this season.
Coach Lee Blackett has also announced that Wharfedale fly half Tom Barrett, who is the leading goal kicker in National One, has agreed to join Rotherham next season as has hooker Johnny Matthews from Manchester club Sedgley Park.
Barrett has also played for Doncaster Knights and Matthews was selected for the English Counties side.
Meanwhile, three of Titans current squad, flanker Jack Preece, prop Toby Williams and centre Joel Gill have agreed new deals and will be staying at Clifton Lane.
Preece’s decision to stay is a significant boost to the Titans because he has been in top form throughout the Championship campaign which has taken Rotherham to third in the league going into tomorrow’s game.
