Struggling Rotherham Titans have parted ways with head coach Mark Jones by mutual consent.
Defeat to Championship bottom club Moseley on Saturday was the club’s seventh consecutive loss, leaving them in considerable danger of the drop into National One.
And Titans chairman Nick Cragg says both the club and Jones felt it was time for change.
“Results over the last three months have not been what we would have wished them to be and both parties have agreed that now is the time for change.
“Mark is a quality individual for whom we have the greatest respect.
“He has handled himself with professionalism and dignity throughout his time with us and he has stuck to his principles as to how he believes the game should be played.”
Jones himself added: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Titans and it has been a great learning experience for me.
“I am very content with what I have done and the way that I have gone about it.”
