Rotherham Titans have boosted their squad as they attempt to reach the Championship promotion play-offs in May by bringing in two players from Premiership club Bath.
It’s been agreed with Bath that England U-20s’ captain and second row forward, Charlie Ewels,19, and hooker Tom Dunn,22, can join Rotherham on a short term basis until the end of the season.
It’s understood that Dunn may be available for Rotherham’s next Championship game at Clifton Lane against Bristol, a week on Saturday. However, Ewels will not be able to play until after the U-20s Six Nations tournament finishes a week tomorrow, but he could be included in the Rotherham squad to take on Birmingham club Moseley in a fortnight.
n Luther Burrell has revealed that England’s ‘Mr Angry’ is intent on releasing a month’s worth of pent up frustration when Scotland visit Twickenham tomorrow. Mike Brown was KO’dagainst Italy on February 14 and was forced to sit out the defeat by Ireland.
Now restored to full fitness, Brown returns for England’s tilt at reviving their 6 Nations title challenge and Burrell will be only too pleased to hear the fiery full-back barking orders once again. “It’s always good having an angry man behind you, shouting and doing his thing” Burrell said. “He’s constantly on us and is a good leader. He’s been itching to get out there, just to release some of his anger. Off the pitch he’s just as angry. He’s just always angry.”
