NEW signing Ben Thomas has revealed Rotherham Titans head coach Alex Codling was a big factor behind his decision to move to Clifton Lane.
The 24-year-old second-rower, who has joined Rotherham for the remainder of the season, boasts a wealth of Championship experience, having spent last season at London Scottish.
Now the 6ft 5ins Thomas is aiming to add plenty of physicality to the Titans pack.
“I know Alex (Codling) really well, having been coached by him during my spells at London Welsh, Barking and London Scottish,” he said.
“When Alex offered me the opportunity to come to Rotherham, I didn’t need much time to make up my mind. I’m delighted to be here and to play full time professional rugby is what I really want to be doing. Hopefully I can impress in training and become part of the match day squad.”
Of his new arrival, Codling said: “Ben is a very promising player who will also add competition to our second row department.”
