Mosborough RUFC volunteer receives special award from England coach Eddie Jones

He may be busy plotting their quest to win the Rugby World Cup in Japan, but England coach Eddie Jones still found time to honour Sheffield volunteer Marcel Hinde recently.

Marcel, a long-serving volunteer at Mosborough RUFC, and his wife Maureen headed to St James' Park for the recent warm-up before England jetted out to Asia.

The occasion also saw many volunteers throughout the rugby fraternity recognised – including Marcel.

A Mosborough spokesperson said: “Marcel has worked tirelessly for years at the club without recognition and has grafted on and on to develop the club into what it is today.

“We can truly say that Marcel has transformed the way we are today as a club and without his efforts we would not have achieved so much."

After receiving his award, Marcel said: “To receive the award from Eddie Jones was a very special moment.”
