After days of speculation over his future, Rotherham Titans’ coach Andre Bester has resigned, writes Guy Williams.
He told the club’s directors last night that he was quitting.
Bester’s decision to leave the Clifton Lane club followed two days of intense talks at disciplinary hearings, believed to centre around Bester’s attitude and strong personality.
Rotherham are talking to at least three potential successors and one candidate will be meeting the Titans’ directors over the weekend.
Later today the players,who are preparing for the South Yorkshire derby against Doncaster on Saturday,will be addressed by one of the senior directors who will explain how the club will move forward now that Bester has gone.
