DONCASTER Knights’ boss Brett Davey has boosted his half-back cover with the signing of Coventry’s 21 year-old goal-kicking scrum-half Lee Audis.
Audis made 29 appearances for the Midlands club, who lost their Championship status 12 months ago, last season, scoring 89 points.
A product of the Bath Academy, Audis stands just under 6ft and who weighs in at 13st 7lb. Strong and pacey, he won international honours with England at Under-16s level.
“We have signed Lee to complement the abilities of Chris Hallam as we look for a balance throughout the squad that gives us the options we need on the pitch,” said Davey.
“The fact he is a reliable goal kicker is an extra bonus. It does no harm to have all the bases covered during a game.
“ A key part of this signing, as all of the signings this year, is that the player showed enthusiasm to play for Doncaster during our discussions”.
