The three centres have appeared more than 50 times between them this season and scored nine tries in total.

Director of rugby Clive Griffiths told Knights’ official website that he has staved off interest from other clubs to re-sign the trio.

Griffiths said: “They have provided a lot of firepower for us this season, and in Mat and Andy’s case prior to that, so I am delighted to have them back on board.

“Not only are they all capable at centre but are equally adept on the wing and Andy’s versatility can stretch to full back as well, so despite not having the largest squad players like these provide us with a lot of versatility.

“The squad is really taking shape now,” he added.

“It is a piece by piece construction. It’s not just a case of just re-signing players, we’ve had to fight off competitors to secure their services.

“I am over the moon that they have all chosen to stay at Castle Park and continue the momentum we have at this moment in time.”

Hurrell, who has impressed since joining from Coventry last year, said: “We’re doing really well this year, we’re in second and looking like we’re going to be in the play-offs.

“It’s a good place to be. There’s a great bunch of lads here and good coaching staff.”

Clark said: “I’m really happy to be staying at Castle Park because the facilties are great here and there’s a great group of lads.

“Hopefully we can continue the momentum that we’ve built over the last few years and keep moving forward.”

Michael Hills, Ben Hunter, Colin Quigley and Dougie Flockhart have already signed new two-year contracts.
