DONCASTER-born prop Tom Davies has rejoined his hometown club ahead of the 2011-12 Championship season.
Davies, who learnt his rugby at Hallcross School and as a member Doncaster’s famed junior set-up, will link-up again with Doncaster Knights after a season at Magners League level with the Cardiff Blues.
“In his previous spell here, Tom developed from junior level through to the A XV and first team to play alongside some big name players at Castle Park and more than hold his own,” said Knights’ boss Brett Davey. “
“During his time at Cardiff, Tom has improved even more, so the great thing is that we have a player back who is even better than when we last had him.
“He echoes our determination to bring balance and a flexible nature to the squad.
“Tom not only has great strength and mental toughness, but he is a great footballer. He also has a running style which opponents find hard to counter so makes the difficult yards with the ball.
“I’m happy to say we have a great mixture of power, skill and guile within our front row now and that was our aim at the planning stage.”
