SHEFFIELD Eagles’ coach Mark Aston is in no rush to nominate his frontline goal kicker for the new season.

With Simon Brown moving to York the job is up for grabs but Aston has a trio of experienced place kickers who can step up.

Half back Dominic Brambani kicked 35 goals last season as the back up to Brown who claimed 112.

New signing Patch Walker did the job at Dewsbury Rams putting over 57 goals and back rower Michaels Knowles was a regular kicker in his time at Barrow Raiders.

Aston said: “Dom is a very good kicker and we’ll work it out as we get closer to the start of the season. Michael (Knowles) is a good goal kicker and there’s Patch – so there’s plenty of people who can kick goals.”
