MENZIE Yere is out of Sheffield Eagles Grand Final against Featherstone Rovers after picking up a two-match ban.

An RFL disciplinary tribunal found the Papua New Guinea international guilty of a ‘dangerous throw’ tackle in the play-off semi-final win over Leigh Centurions. He was also fined £50. The loss of the powerful centre is a massive blow to Eagles hopes of beating the favourites.

Norfolk Park teenager Corey Hanson is likely to take Yere’s place. Yere had only returned to the team at Leigh, on Sunday, after serving a two-game ban for a dangerous tackle in a league game, last month.
