Sheffield Eagles learn Summer Bash opponents

Sheffield Eagles will take on newly promoted Whitehaven at the 2020 Summer Bash.

With the full 2020 Championship fixtures due out this Sunday, the Eagles have been handed the Cumbrian side as their opponents for the annual showdown at Blackpool FC’s Bloomfield Road Stadium.

The Summer Bash is about to enter a sixth season, with the Eagles taking on Haven on Sunday 31st May, kick off 3.15pm. The Eagles’ fixture is sandwiched between Oldham against Swinton at 1pm and Leigh against Widnes at 5.30pm.

The event kicks off on the Saturday when Batley take on Dewsbury (3pm), followed by Halifax against York (5.15pm) and Featherstone v Bradford (7.30pm).

On the same weekend, London Broncos will travel to France to face Toulouse in a double header also featuring the Super League fixture between Catalans Dragons and Leeds Rhinos at the Stade Ernest Wallon.

Meanwhile, following on from the unveiling of a brand-new club crest, the Eagles have also revealed their shirts for the 2020 season.

Working in collaboration with O’Neills Sportswear, the 2020 home kit sees a return of a predominantly red kit, white secondary and with flashes of the club’s historic gold colouring.

The away is yellow-gold with black detailing on the upper chest along with black strikes on the sleeve and down chest sides.

Last season’s principal partner, GRI Group, have again signed up for 2020 with the club also confirming a special edition kit to be released next year.
