Sheffield Eagles have announced they will be moving to The MEPS International Home of Football Stadium, which will become their new home from next month.

Based in Dronfield and the home of Sheffield Football Club, the move will see the Eagles groundshare with the football club for the foreseeable future.
The Eagles have been playing their home games at the Steel City Stadium since 2022, but they feel the move to The MEPS International Home of Football Stadium will be a major step forward for them.
In an official club statement, they said that the move will ‘significantly enhance the matchday experience for supporters, offering a venue better suited to rugby league, creating a more engaging atmosphere, and giving the club more opportunity to generate matchday revenue from food and drink sales.’
The move is expected to deliver a significant financial boost for the club, substantially reducing ongoing facility costs as well as offering improved revenue generating opportunities.
The MEPS International Home of Football Stadium has had work carried out in recent months to facilitate the move, which includes the addition of a new seated stand installed along the side of the pitch, refurbished dressing rooms, a new covered filming gantry, and a modern hospitality lounge located above the Coach and Horses pub.
The stadium has a capacity of just over 2,000 and is easily accessible by car and public transport, with Dronfield train station only a fifteen-minute walk away, and on-site parking being available for supporters.
The Eagles will be sharing the pitch with Sheffield Football Club, strengthening the partnership between the sides as they look to secure a new facility together within the city of Sheffield.
Further in the club’s statement, it read, “Both clubs remain committed to securing a new facility within the city of Sheffield and remain in active dialogue with civic partners to achieve this goal.”
Sheffield Eagles placed their thanks to the Steel City Stadium for the support they’ve shown them since returning in 2022, and they will continue to use the facility going forward as a training base for all their teams.
The first Eagles’ fixture set to be played at the their new home will be on Sunday 24th May when they host London Broncos in Round 14 of the Betfred Championship (3pm KO).
