Sheffield Eagles boss Mark Aston is set to pull a few selection surprises for the game against Dewsbury Rams tomorrow.

New signing from the Rams, Tom Lillycrop, is likely to start in the front row and USA international centre Leulauloto ‘Loto’ Tagaloa may be moved into the pack.

Lillycrop has not played this season but Aston believes he’s ready to make his debut against his former club.

“Tom will play,” he said. “He’s a player that goes at a 100 miles an hour and puts shots on people. The start of the game is when you want people ripping in. It’ll be good for him to play against a team that haven’t given him a chance this year and he’ll be revved up.

“It’s not about him playing against Dewsbury but Tom showing what he will bring to the party for Eagles.”

Dewsbury come to Owlerton tomorrow in third place and looking for revenge after losing five times to Eagles last season. Aston may turn to the experience of Matt Garside or Duane Straugheir in the centres to partner Menzie Yere.“I don’t see Loto starting in the centres, he might get another position this weekend,” said Aston.

“Sometimes when you are not playing as you want to you go for the tried and tested that’s been with us for a while and that’s an option.”
