COME on down! Doncaster Rugby League Club need you more than ever

We bounced back after our first defeat in seven games at Championship One leaders Swinton, with a 41-20 win against South Wales Scorpions in Neath on Sunday.

The game was a potential banana skin for us, and myself and the coaching staff where very aware of that fact.

That’s why we travelled down the day before and as a result of this our preparation for this game was first class and went according to plan.

With other results going our way, we are now clear second so the team need all the support from the Doncaster public for our last four games.

I said when becoming joint-owner that we would give you a team that the town would be proud of.

I’m so pleased with what the boys have achieved. They are a real great bunch and a credit to themselves. They are really determined to do well for the club and the town.

Our destiny is now in our own hands. If we were to win all our four remaining games we would retain second spot. Our aim at the start of the season was to make the top four. But we really need your support to give us that extra man going into these games. When the Dons’ fans are there cheering the boys on they make a massive difference.

I can’t stress enough how much the boys and club need you all - particularly in our next three games.

We travel to third-placed Keighley this Sunday then have home fixtures against Whitehaven and Workington.

All three teams have the same thoughts as us and are all challenging for the top-four, so get down to support your local team whether you are a regular or have never been to a game before.

Admission prices are amongst the lowest in the game and we have consistently provided value for money.

We are running a bus from the Keepmoat to the Challenge Cup final at Wembley. It is a great day out for £60 (phone 01302 765 888).
