DONCASTER have signed Leeds Rhinos’ utility-back Mike Coady on an initial month’s loan.

Coady began his professional career with the Dons before being snapped up by Leeds,

“Mike played for Leeds in their pre-season games but then picked up a shoulder injury and hasn’t been able to get back into the team since returning to fitness,” said Dons’ boss Tony Miller,

“Mike’s a good player and it’s good to have him back at the club. He’ll train with us tonight and he’ll be in the side to play against Rochdale at the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday.”

Full-back Mick Butterfield has been ruled out after suffering internal bleeding in a thigh muscle in Sunday’s win over Workington,

“The swelling is not as bad as it was after the game but his thigh is still badly swollen,” said Miller, who also has doubts over winger Stu Sanderson and Dean Colton and half-back Scott Spaven.

Fears that half-back Aaron Dobek had broken his ankle have been allayed, but physio Kev Farley won’t have a good idea of how long he will be out for until the swelling has gone down,

Kyle Kesik appears before the RFL Disciplinary Panel in Leeds tonight.
