Podium finish for Buurman

MANOR Motorsport's Yelmer Buurman recorded a podium finish during the penultimate race of the 2007 Formula 3 Euroseries season at Hocken heim.

Backing the result up with a top four finish in his second outing of the weekend, the Dutchman continued where he left off at Nogaro in France a fortnight ago where he was also the highest scoring of the Dinnington-based squad’s drivers.

Britain’s sole team representative in the Formula 3 Euroseries, Manor Motorsport were also represented by Franck Mailleux, Cyndie Allemann and James Jakes in Germany.

Mailleux secured second place in the overall rookie standings.

“Yelmer did well in both races and deserved his podium in the first one but other than that we had a patchy weekend which was very unfortunate,” said team boss John Booth.
