Chris Powell officially takes over as Charlton boss on Monday and he will be disappointed not to do so on the back of a victory after Scott Wagstaff and a Johnnie Jackson penalty put the Addicks two up inside six minutes at Sheffield Wednesday.

But the Owls, just a point behind thier League One rivals, produced a spirited fightback - even though Tommy Miller had his 38th-minute penalty saved by Rob Elliot.

Half-time substitute Paul Heffernan turned the game around when he netted within two minutes of coming on and Reda Johnson (51) made it 2-2 four minutes later.
