Brennan, who made the speedway world sit up and take notice when he notched nine-points from reserve in last weekend’s Grand Prix qualifier, steps in for Josh Bates who is still having treatment for trapped nerves in his shoulder.
Peterborough have made an impressive start to the season with the most experienced team in the league, affectionately labelled ‘Dad’s Army’.
Tru Plant Tigers boss Simon Stead said: “We are pleased to get Tom for the evening as a guest replacement for Josh and I’m looking forward to seeing him.
“I always enjoy going back to Peterborough, I started my own career there and it provides some great racing, I’m sure this meeting will be no different.
“Their good form doesn’t surprise me. I can see how well they are working as a team which is what Ipswich did at Owlerton last Thursday and we are going to need to dig deep for this one.
“We’ve won both our home meetings but we need to pick up points on the road, it would be nice for us to bring something back from Peterborough.
“I’m happy with how our lads are riding but we’ve got plenty of meetings ahead of us and our priority is to keep picking up points so we can make the top four cut and the play-offs when anything can happen.”
Tigers are back at Owlerton on Thursday when Belle Vue are the visitors in the fixture most fans have been looking forward to since Sheffield’s promotion back to the Premiership this season.
Once again a limited capacity will be in operation and the best way to guarantee a place is by booking online with the link from the club website.
The restaurant will again be open with reservations necessary direct from Owlerton by calling 01142 34 3074 during office hours.
