Speedway: Sheffield Tigers fans get the chance to quiz marquee signing Nicki Pedersen

Pedersen will fly in from Copenhagen for the special event at Owlerton’s Panorama Room on Thursday, January 23.

He will take to the stage and be interviewed about his glittering career which has seen him win three world titles.

The event has already seen all VIP packages snapped up, but standard tickets (£15) remain on sale.

Tigers co-promoter Damien Bates said: “We’re really pleased this event has fallen into place and the interest is remarkable.

“I have to say the enthusiasm surrounding the club is amazing. We are all excited about Nicki joining us next season and it’s a real feather in the cap of the club.

“He’s box-office. He’s created controversy down the years, but he knows that, and he has a lot of opinions and stories so this is a night not to be missed for sure.

“The rest of the team fell into place nicely and the fans have approved in a big way. To be back in the top level and racing the likes of Belle Vue is such an exciting prospect. And the battles between world champions Nicki and Jason Doyle when we face Swindon will be worth the admission money alone.”
