Speedway: Sheffield draw a blank in tough night at Ipswich

Late blow sees Tigers miss out on aggregate point in bad night at Foxhall

Sheffield saw their 14 point aggregate lead wiped out in a defeat at Ipswich , after a cruel twist in the 15th heat.

Tigers had looked set to take the aggregate point themselves, despite losing on the night until skipperJosh Pickering fell late in heat 15 while in second place.

The resulting 5-1 heat loss was enough to take the point away from them.

With the home side winning on the night, the aggregate point went to a superheat.

And despite Pickering winning the superheat, teammate Chris Holder was at the back for most of the race.
