Sheffield set to host Premier League Darts finale as showpiece event moves from London

The showdown, which was originally scheduled for July 2, is now due to take place at Sheffield FlyDSA Arena on Thursday, October 15 – subject to the UK’s coronavirus restrictions being lifted.

The campaign has been suspended since mid-March due to COVID-19 but the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) today announced new dates for the planned fixtures.

Hide AdThe season is set to resume on July 30 in Birmingham, before heading to Belfast, the O2 in London, Leeds, Berlin, Rotterdam, Glasgow, Manchester and finally on to Sheffield.
The announcement is a major coup for Sheffield. The city already hosts the World Snooker Championship at The Crucible Theatre, and the fact World Snooker Tour chairman Barry Hearn also heads up the PDC may have something to do with its selection.
The revised Premier League dates – subject to no further events being cancelled – are:

The PDC said tickets purchased would remain valid for the new dates and any ticketholders unable to make those dates would be entitled to a refund from the seller.
