Sheffield divers swamp the podium with a haul of medals
Sheffield Diving took a 25-strong squad to the Hydro Novices competition in Harrogate earlier this month - and the young divers proceeded to dominate the event.
In the Girls’ competitions, Nikki Charlesworth took gold in the B category with a score of 195.20.
Sheffield divers swamped the podium in the C category, with a sixth place medal going to Lauren Robertson, bronze to Charlotte Sykes, silver to Amy Robertson and gold to Lola Mead.
Also scoring impressively, in the D category, was Dimarni Washington-Scott who scooped gold. Joining her for top-six medals were Megan Norton in fourth and Skye Loukes in fifth.
Finally, in the E category, the top two medals went to Daisy Dennison, who won silver and Daisy Lyndsay who took the gold.
The boys were similarly successful. Thomas Screeton won gold in the B event, in the C event Dylan Smith took silver. Sheffield took the top three medals in the D event, with Noah Bartle bronze, Robert Wood silver and Sebastian Willcox gold. The remaining gold was won by Simeon Greig in the E event, scoring a superb 182.55.
Sheffield Diving coach Molly Bulmer said: “It was a great effort from everyone and a brilliant start to the season.
“These divers are a pleasure to work with and are a credit to the club.”
