New Sheffield Tigers signing enjoying life in South Yorkshire
Sheffield Tigers return to Owlerton for only their second home meeting of the season when they face Ipswich tonight (7.30).
And Adam Ellis one of the high profile winter signings for the club, has revealed how he’s starting to settle into life in South Yorkshire.
Ellis has scored well so far and qualified for the Grand Prix Challenge with a stunning display at Italy on Saturday.
The French-born GB international says more meetings will only help him improve further.
"I can't really complain too much with how things have started with Sheffield," Ellis said.
"We had the drama where I couldn't get here for the meeting at Belle Vue but the meetings I have ridden in have gone good more than they have bad.
"I didn't get any time on the track before that first meeting at Sheffield so it was tricky.
"We managed to get the win as a team though and it was a good first meeting for me overall.
"Obviously there's some stuff for me to improve on but I've done a lot of racing since then and it's getting better - I'm feeling a lot better on the bike now.”
The Tru Plant Tigers have named a full-strength side although there are still concerns over Josh Bates and his shoulder so he is likely to need a late fitness test.
Ipswich have booked Wolverhampton’s Nick Morris as a guest replacement for the injured Jason Crump and they also include former Tigers duo Danny King and Drew Kemp.
Tickets for the third and fourth bend remain on sale from the club website and there will be limited numbers of places available on the night for the home straight.
The restaurant is also reopening and bookings must be made direct with Owlerton Stadium.
