AN early goal by former Rotherham Metro player Adam Scholefield wasn’t enough to prevent Great Britain men’s water polo team for losing their fifth straight match.

Great Britain went three goals down in the opening quarter against Montenegro, before centre forward Scholefield scored from in front of goal. Montenegro fired home one more before the end of the period to take the score to 4-1 at the first break.

By half-time the home team trailed 8-3 and heading into the final eight minutes they were 10-4 down before conceding three more in the last quarter to end their Olympic campaign.
