Having been born in the early nineties, I thought it best to rank my 12 favourite non-blue and white Wednesday kits going back to when I was born, and it may be that a hint of nostalgia may have clouded my judgement… What do you think?
9. 4. Black and yellow
This shirt oozes class, especially when it was Walker wearing it. The yellow pinstripes are great, and as I mentioned before, I'm a fan of dark away kits in general. (Photo by Allsport/Getty Images) Photo: Getty Images
10. 3. A golden oldie...
I'm not sure if I remember this shirt in my actual memory, I was a little kid when Wednesday played in it, but I always thought it looked so good out on the pitch when I saw it on my grandad's old videos. That yellow and baby blue combo works nicely. Photo: (via @BestFootyShirts)
11. 2. A nice bit of greenery...
I think this could've been the first non-blue and white Wednesday shirt I ever got. From an era when football shirts had some uniqueness to them. I always think of David Hirst when I see this shirt. Beautiful. (Allsport UK) Photo: Getty Images
12. 1. This lovely orange number in the mid-90s...
This has to be number one for me... I loved the shirt, but it's also got some great memories for me as a kid as well. Will never forget watching that Carbone overhead kick live at St. James Park in this kit. Lovely stuff. (Allsport UK /Allsport) Photo: Getty Images
