McGrath on speakers list

YORKSHIRE batsman Anthony McGrath and former England captain MJK Smith are among the list of speakers on Wombwell Cricket Lovers' Society's winter programme.

It starts with the agm on September 27 at Ardsley Oaks WMC (all 7.45) and members, new and old, are welcome.

Winter programme: Oct 18: 'Off the Beaten Track" with cricket lovers Tony Hutton, Mick Bourne and Brian Senior; Oct 25: Leics CCC coach Tim Boon.

Nov 8: Marcus Berkmann, author of 'Rain Men' & 'Zimmer Men'; Nov 22 Derbyshire Evening & coaching registration (pie & pea supper event); 29: Yorkshire vice-captain Anthony McGrath.

Dec 6: to be confirmed; Sunday 9: Christmas Lunch with Peter Baxter. Jan 13: Society coaching classes start at Sheffield Utd Centre, Bawtry Road; 17: Worcs Director of Cricket and former Yorkshire and England wicketkeeper Steve Rhodes; 31: MJK Smith, former England and Warwickshire.

Feb 14: Young Yorkshire evening; 28: Notts evening with Mike Newell and Local Cricket Awards. March 13: Surrey CCC scorer Keith Booth on Surrey legend George Lohmann; 27: Society Coaching Awards presentations (pie & pea supper).
