Injury puts van Vuuren doubtful for Knights

DONCASTER Knights' South African winger Donovan van Vuuren is doubtful for Saturday's National League One top-of-the-table clash at Northampton Saints.

"Donovan injured his shoulder in Saturday's win over Pertemps Bees at Castle Park," said director of rugby Lynn Howells.

"It is not serious and if he misses Saturday's game then he'll be fit for the following week."

Forward John Rawson (wrist) and full-back Anthony Carter (shoulder) also suffered slight soft tissue injuries during the club's sixth successive win.

"I've no worries about their being fit for the weekend, they'll be fine," said the Welshman.

United States World Cup star Luke Goss has had back and knee surgery and will nt be returning to Castle Park for several weeks and is likely to be out of action until the second half of the season.
