Injury blows for Sheffield

SHEFFIELD rugby club are in the midst of an injury crisis.

Tim Cook is likely to be out for a while after an accidental clash of heads, last weekend, split his cheekbone and the upper eye socket, while Martin Balshaw hobbled off with ankle ligament damage and Adam Russell broke his wrist five minutes into a second team game at Driffield.

The Abbeydale side hammered Malton and Norton 31-3 in the game in which Cook and Balshaw were injured.

Tomorrow’s away trip to Selby will prove a far sterner test.
