Defenceman Mark Thomas has seen his Sheffield Steelers’ side end the season empty handed - and has experienced two GB defeats to start the World Championships in Hungary.
But he’s picking the positives out of the national team’s displays so far, versus Hungary and Kazakhstan.
Their next match is against Italy today, followed by Japan and Korea.
Thomas said: “It’s disappointing we’ve lost two matches, but we take heart from the performances. We created a huge number of chances in both games, especially against Kazakhstan. Things could’ve been different, but we move on. We still have three games left in the tournament and anything can happen.”
The long-serving Steeler added: “Korea’s victory over Hungary shows no game will be easy.
“We are a close-knit group and confidence is still high amongst the boys.
“We know we can do well here and continue to impress.”
