Steeldogs’ tough test in semi bid

Have your say

Andre Payette’s Sheffield Steeldogs take on Peterborough Phantoms in a ‘must win’ game if they want to progress to the Premier League Cup semi-finals.

With Manchester winning their final cup match recently, there are now five teams in with a shout of making it to the next stage, with Manchester, Slough and Sheffield all competing for the final spot.

The game, on Friday, December 30 at 7.45pm, will be a tough but entertaining battle as Peterborough have suddenly found some form with their new signings and Payette is appealing to all Sheffield hockey fans to come and support their local team during the festive week.

Before Friday’s game though, Steeldogs travel to Manchester on Tuesday at the revised time of 6pm face-off. With Tony Hand out for a few more weeks, Manchester have had mixed fortunes. However a cup semi-final spot is a possibility and they will give Steeldogs a tough game.

Tickets on the door are priced at adult £9.50, concession £6.50, child £3.50 (U8s free) and family £20.
