Disappointing - but we'll learn from it.
That's how Paul Thompson saw things after this evening's Challenge Cup defeat at Nottingham Panthers.
He said the team's power play had clearly not executed properly and two defensive give-aways had cost them dearly.
The coach said work would be done to eradicate the lack of penetration shown tonight - and more care will have to be taken to avoid turnovers.
"The mood in the room was of total disappointment," he told The Star.
"But if you don't take your chances and give up the puck like we did, that's what happens.
"There were positives though, I was surprised we weren't leading at the end of the second period.
"But we have a big weekend coming next weekend (Milton Keynes Lightning, home and away) and that's our focus."
